Once your documents are complete, we walk you through booking your appointment at VFS Global for biometrics capture and file submission. You attend on the day; we accompany you in every step.

• Tourist Visa (Type C)

  For leisure travel and sightseeing in Croatia for up to 90 days within any 180-day period.

• Family & Friends Visit Visa

  For visiting relatives or friends with a notarised invitation from the Croatian host.

• Business Visa

  For attending meetings and conferences with an official invitation from the Croatian business host.

• Cultural & Sports Visa

  For taking part in cultural, sporting, scientific, or religious events.

• Medical Visa (Short-stay visa)

  Issued for the purpose of receiving treatment at Croatian hospitals. Classified as a short-stay visa, with stays not exceeding 90 days. Requires detailed medical reports plus an official invitation or booking confirmation from the relevant hospital.

1. Choose the right Croatian visa type

   Start by identifying the visa category that matches your purpose of travel — tourism, family visit, business, medical, or study. Since 1 January 2023, Croatia is a full Schengen Area member, so the Croatian visa is a Schengen C visa allowing onward travel within the Schengen zone. Applications from Jordan are submitted through VFS Global Croatia in Amman on behalf of the Croatian Embassy.

2. Complete the online form on CroVisa

   Go to the CroVisa portal of the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and complete the Schengen visa application form online, then print and sign it. Online pre-filling is a formal requirement before booking your VFS appointment, and form errors are a leading cause of refusal.

3. Prepare the supporting documents

   Refer to the official "Applying for a Schengen visa for Croatia" guide on the Croatian MFA website and prepare:
   - Passport valid for at least 3 months beyond your departure date, issued within the last 10 years, with two blank pages.
   - Jordanian ID card, or valid Jordanian residency permit if you are a foreign resident.
   - Printed CroVisa form, signed.
   - Stamped bank statements covering the last 3 months.
   - Employment letter and a recent salary certificate.
   - Round-trip flight reservation and hotel bookings covering every night of your stay.
   - Schengen travel insurance with minimum coverage of EUR 30,000.
   - Recent passport-sized photo meeting Schengen specifications.
   Personal appearance is mandatory for biometrics.

4. Book your biometrics appointment at VFS Amman

   Book your appointment with VFS Global Croatia in Amman at Galleria Mall, Building 56, 4th floor, Sweifieh, Amman. For inquiries: info.crorjor@vfshelpline.com or +962 6 400 1004 / +962 79 79 22221. Submit at least 3 weeks before your departure date, and no more than 6 months in advance.

5. Attend the appointment and pay the fees

   At your appointment your ten-fingerprint scan and facial photo are taken, your file is reviewed, and your passport is held. Pay the embassy fee (Schengen) and the VFS service fee at the centre. Biometrics are mandatory for applicants aged 12 and above. The whole appointment takes about 15–20 minutes.

6. Track processing

   Your file is forwarded to the competent Croatian consular office. Processing times can be longer than for older Schengen members — applications can take 3 to 7 weeks from the biometrics appointment. Track your application via the VFS account you created at booking.

7. Collect your passport and visa

   Once a decision is issued your passport is returned to the VFS centre. Collect it in person with your ID, or use the optional courier service. Before you travel, verify the visa data (name, number of entries, validity dates, residence type) against your passport, and keep copies of your bookings and insurance ready in case of border checks.

  Usually granted short-term (up to 3 months) with single or multiple entries. In some cases it can be issued for longer — up to 5 years.

• Can I travel between Schengen countries on a single visa?

  Yes, a Schengen visa allows entry to and free travel between all 29 Schengen countries with no extra visa required.

• What is the most common reason for refusal?

  Weak ties to Jordan, failing to convince the embassy you will return, weak financial standing, or incomplete documents. We help you strengthen your file before you submit.

• Does the application require a personal interview?

  Usually not — most applications are decided on the documents. In special cases the embassy may request an interview.
