Application steps
Choose the right Saudi visa type
Start by identifying the visa category that matches your purpose of travel — tourism, family visit, business, Umrah, or work. Important: Jordanian passport holders are currently not eligible for the Saudi tourist e-Visa on Visit Saudi. Tourist applications must be submitted through the Saudi Embassy in Amman. Refer to the official Saudi visa regulations on Visit Saudi for the latest rules.
Confirm eligibility and current restrictions
Confirm that no temporary restriction applies to your category. Each year before Hajj, several nationalities (including Jordan in some seasons) face temporary suspensions on short-term visit visas. Check the latest status on Visit Saudi visa regulations before booking. Foreign residents in Jordan should also confirm whether their nationality qualifies for the eVisa or must apply through the embassy.
Book your appointment at the Saudi Embassy in Amman
Contact the Saudi Embassy in Amman (Abdoun District, Prince Hashim bin Al Hussein Street) to book your visa appointment. Walk-ins are usually not accepted; book in advance.
Complete the visa application form
Download and complete the official Saudi visa application form (available at the embassy). Make sure your name, passport details, and travel dates exactly match your supporting documents — formal errors are a leading cause of refusal.
Prepare the supporting documents
Standard Saudi visa requirements include:
- Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond your departure date, with two blank pages.
- Jordanian ID card, or valid Jordanian residency permit if you are a foreign resident.
- Completed and signed visa application form.
- Recent passport-sized photo meeting Saudi visa specifications.
- Round-trip flight reservation and hotel bookings covering every night of your stay.
- Travel health insurance covering your visit.
- Proof of sufficient funds (bank statements for the last 3 months).
- Invitation letter if your visit is family-related or for business — endorsed by the Saudi Chamber of Commerce or relevant authority.
