Application steps
Choose the right Polish visa type
Start by identifying the visa category that matches your purpose of travel — tourism, family visit, business, medical, or study. Unlike most Schengen countries operating in Jordan, Poland does not use VFS or TLS or BLS — applications are submitted directly to the Polish Embassy in Amman via the e-Konsulat system. The embassy explicitly does not work with intermediaries.
Register and book an appointment on e-Konsulat
Go to the official e-Konsulat system of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, change the language to English (top-right), create an account, choose "Schengen Visa" and the embassy in Amman, and book your appointment. New appointment slots open two weeks in advance, typically every Wednesday or Thursday — check regularly if no slots are available.
Complete the application form on e-Konsulat
Inside your account on e-Konsulat, complete the Schengen visa application form online. After submission, the system generates a PDF application that must be printed and signed, then brought to your appointment. Pre-filling online is mandatory.
Prepare the supporting documents
Refer to the official C-type Schengen visa page from the Polish Embassy in Amman and prepare:
- Passport valid for at least 3 months beyond your departure date, issued within the last 10 years, with two blank pages.
- Jordanian ID card, or valid Jordanian residency permit if you are a foreign resident.
- Printed and signed e-Konsulat application form.
- Recent passport-sized colour photo (3.5 x 4.5 cm) on white background, less than 6 months old.
- Stamped bank statements covering the last 3 months.
- Employment letter and a recent salary certificate.
- Round-trip flight reservation and hotel bookings covering every night of your stay.
- Schengen travel insurance with minimum coverage of EUR 30,000.
Personal appearance is mandatory for biometrics.Attend the appointment at the Polish Embassy
Attend your appointment at the Polish Embassy in Amman (Mahmoud Saifeddine Al-Irani Street). Your ten-fingerprint scan and facial photo are taken, your file is reviewed, and your passport is held. Pay the embassy fee (Schengen) at the embassy in cash or by card. Submit no earlier than 6 months and no later than 15 calendar days before your trip. Biometrics are mandatory for applicants aged 12 and above.
Track processing
Schengen short-stay visas are typically processed within 15 working days, and may be extended up to 45 days in additional cases. Long-stay visas can take 10 to 30 working days. Contact the embassy at amman.amb.sekretariat@msz.gov.pl for status updates.
Collect your passport and visa
Once a decision is issued you will be notified to collect your passport in person from the embassy with your ID. Before you travel, verify the visa data (name, number of entries, validity dates, residence type) against your passport, and keep copies of your bookings and insurance ready in case of border checks.
FAQ
What is a Schengen visa?
A unified visa that allows entry to 29 European countries within the Schengen area on a single visa, with a stay of up to 90 days in any 180-day period.
How long is a Schengen visa valid?
Usually granted short-term (up to 3 months) with single or multiple entries. In some cases it can be issued for longer — up to 5 years.
Can I travel between Schengen countries on a single visa?
Yes, a Schengen visa allows entry to and free travel between all 27 Schengen countries with no extra visa required.
What is the most common reason for refusal?
Weak ties to Jordan, failing to convince the embassy you will return, weak financial standing, or incomplete documents. We help you strengthen your file before you submit.
Does the application require a personal interview?
Usually not — most applications are decided on the documents. In special cases the embassy may request an interview.
