Application steps
Choose the right Albanian visa type
Start by identifying the visa category that matches your purpose of travel — tourism, family visit, business, medical, or study. Jordanian citizens are not visa-exempt for Albania and must apply for an electronic visa (e-Visa). For most travellers a Type C short-stay visa allows up to 90 days within a 180-day period. Refer to the official visa regime page on the Albanian Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs website before applying.
Confirm eligibility
Use the eligibility check on the official e-Visa portal to confirm you can apply online from Jordan. Most Jordanian applicants are eligible for the e-Visa channel and do not need to visit an Albanian embassy. Foreign residents in Jordan should also check whether their nationality qualifies for the e-Visa or requires a sticker visa.
Create an account on the official e-Visa portal
Go to the official Albanian e-Visa portal, select your nationality and country of residence, then create an account using your email. The system suggests the right visa category based on your purpose of travel.
Complete the application and upload supporting documents
Complete the form online and upload digital copies of:
- Passport valid for at least 3 months beyond your departure date, issued within the last 10 years.
- Jordanian ID card, or valid Jordanian residency permit if you are a foreign resident.
- Recent passport-sized photo meeting the visa specifications.
- Round-trip flight reservation and hotel bookings covering every night of your stay.
- Employment letter and a recent salary certificate.
- Stamped bank statements covering the last 3 months.
- Travel insurance covering your stay.
Empty fields and unreadable scans are common reasons for online refusal.Pay the fees and submit
Pay the embassy fee online by credit/debit card directly on the e-Visa portal — the Type C short-stay fee is around EUR 60. After payment you receive a reference number and receipt for tracking. There is no third-party service fee in this channel. You must be physically outside Albania at the time of payment for the application to be valid.
Track processing
Decisions are typically issued within 5 to 15 business days after online submission, and may take longer if additional documents are requested. Apply at least 3 weeks before your travel date to be safe. Track your application from your e-Visa account.
Receive the e-Visa
Once approved, the visa is sent to you by email as a PDF. Print a copy and present it with your passport on arrival in Albania. Before you travel, verify the visa data (name, passport number, validity dates) against your passport, and keep copies of your bookings and insurance ready in case of border checks.
