Application steps
Choose the right Bahrain visa type
Start by identifying the visa category that matches your purpose of travel — Jordanian passport holders need a visa for Bahrain. The most common option is the eVisa, applied for in advance via the official Bahrain eVisa portal. Refer to the Visitor Visas page on the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs for a full list of categories.
Check eVisa eligibility
Confirm your eligibility on the Electronic Visa Eligibility page on evisa.gov.bh and the On Arrival Visa Eligibility page. Jordanian nationals are typically eligible for the online eVisa channel.
Create the application on the official eVisa portal
Go to the Bahrain eVisa application form and select "Visit eVisa" or the appropriate category. Complete the form with personal information, passport details, and travel data. Choose your expected entry point (Bahrain International Airport or land border).
Upload required documents
Inside the form upload digital copies of:
- Passport bio page (valid for at least 6 months from arrival).
- Recent passport-sized photo.
- Round-trip ticket or hotel reservation.
- Jordanian residency permit if you are a foreign resident.

The decision is typically issued within 3 to 5 working days by email as a PDF. Print a copy and present it with your passport on arrival. The eVisa is electronically linked to your passport — no sticker is affixed.
On arrival in Bahrain
Present your passport and the printed eVisa to the immigration officer:
- At Bahrain International Airport — the visa is endorsed at arrival.
- At the King Fahd Causeway from Saudi Arabia — registered at the land border.
Stays usually range from 14 to 30 days depending on the visa type, and may be extendable via the Bahrain eVisa portal at least 7 days before expiry to avoid overstay fines.
